Print is framed and in fine condition. Some minor foxing in the matting, but not in image area. Image measures 12in. x 10in. Frame is 18in. x 19.5in.

John Davies (American, b. Scotland 1901-1965): “Mandolin” Still-life. Mezzotint in sepia. Edition 9/20. Pencil signed. $495.

Some toning around exterior of image from prior matting. Image measures 5 3/4 in. x 8 1/8 in.

Harry Leroy Taskey (American 1892-1958): “Civic Repertory.” Etching. Signed, titled in pencil. Federal Art Project NYC WPA stamp lower left. Circa. 1935-1943. $1,300.

The Civic Repertory was a popular theater house in New York City on 6th avenue and West 14th street. It was demolished in 1938.

Other impressions of this scarce print are in the MET, the NGA, and the SAAM.

There are a couple faint spots of red ink in the upper left corner of image area. Otherwise in fine condition.

Jack Grue (American, b. Russia 1896-1956): “Siesta.” Small wood engraving on tissue. Pencil signed and titled. Circa 1940s. SOLD.

Clare Leighton (American, born England, 1898 - 1989): “Cherry Blossom.” Wood engraving. Pencil signed, edition 5/30. SOLD.

Cecil Wray Goodchild (California, 1901-1983): California landscape with horse carriage. Circa 1930s. Pencil signed and numbered 1/200. $400.

Goodchild was an award-winning self-taught artist. His work centers upon the landscape and culture of his native California

This wood engraving is printed on tissue, and is in fine condition. Nicely matted. Sheet measures 10in. x 5 ½ in. Image measures 6in. x 2in.

Nils Gren (Swedish-American 1893-1940): “Silent Men.” Lithograph created for the San Francisco WPA Federal Art Project. Pencil signed, dated, and titled (1936). $1100.

This print was featured in the MoMa’s landmark 1936 exhibition “New Horizons in American Art,” which comprised a selection of works produced during the Federal Art Project’s first year (https://www.moma.org/calendar/exhibitions/2942).

Print is in good condition. Some minor toning outside of image area, and slight bend in paper in upper right corner outside of image area. Image measures 13.5in x 11.75in. Sheet is 15-1/4in. x 18-3/4in.

Cecil Wray Goodchild (California, 1901-1983): California landscape with robbery scene. Circa 1930s. Pencil signed. $400.

Printed on tissue and in fine condition. Sheet measures 7in. x 9in. Image measures 3 ½ in. x 6in.

George A. Bradshaw (New Jersey, 1880-1968): “Ludlow Street.” Drypoint. Pencil signed and titled, and initialed and dated 1933 in plate. $250.

In the early 20th century, Ludlow Street (located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan) was a densely populated area for German and Eastern European immigrants. Bradshaw has captured this historic New York scene with very fine drypoint work. There is a tear in the image area, shown in photos. Otherwise in good condition. Print is matted. Matting measures 13in. x 16in. Image measures 8 7⁄8 x 6 3⁄8 in.
